ATTN all 7-12 students: On Tuesday, November 20, 2018, the GCHS Drama Club will be producing the 2nd Annual Ting-a-Ling variety show. This show is open to ALL students 7-12; all drama club members are encouraged to participate! Please consider signing up to perform an act. Remember--the act(s) can be serious, comedic, musical, etc. as long as it is school appropriate! The sign up sheet is located outside of Mrs. Maier's math classroom. The deadline to sign up for an act will be on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. If you have any questions, please talk to Mr. Todd Allen or Mrs. Maier. Thank you!


Class of 2023 Fundraiser- REMINDER - Eighth Graders - Butter braid and Puffin Orders and collected money are due Monday, October 15, 2018. Strive for your 35 items per person goal. Excellent efforts and congratulations to those who have already reached it! Thanks!!!


College Visit - Monday A representative from NDSU will be at Grant County HS on Monday at 2:20pm. Any junior or senior interested in attending should sign up in the office. Thank you.


Volleyball - Monday The next home Volleyball match is Monday vs. Richardton/Taylor for A-B-C starting at 4:00.


End of Q1 The end of the first quarter is Wednesday. Report cards are due on Monday, October 22nd. Student-Led Conferences are Thursday, October 25th at 3:30-9:30.


Flu Shots - Wednesday Custer Health will be at our school on Wednesday starting at 7:00 for a Flu shot clinic. If interested, bring your insurance card to get your flu shot.


Sustained Silent Reading - 1st Period The Sustained Silent Reading activity will be 1st period starting on Monday. Students are asked to bring their reading books to their 7th period classes.


Powder Buff Volleyball - Monday Immediately following the Volleyball match on Monday vs. Richardton/Taylor, the first annual Powder Buff Volleyball tournament will begin. The cost of admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students for the event. Faffles will be held and all proceeds will go to the Bismarck Cancer Center, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month in October. If you have questions, contact Mrs. Larson.


Volleyball - Tuesday There is a volleyball match for A-B-C at Wilton/Wing starting at 4:00. Leave time is 1:45.


JH GBB Begins - October 22nd JH GBB begins on Monday, October 22nd. First practice is after school in the gym. You must have an updated physical in order to practice. Most of you already have one from Volleyball and are fine. If you have questions, talk to Coach Laub or Coach Bentz.


CAT Time - Monday, October 22nd The next CAT time is Monday, October 22nd during 7th period. If you have questions, talk to Mr. Bentz or Mr. Bollom.


Early Out PD - Wednesday There is an early out planned for Wednesday at 12:30 so teachers can engage in professional development. Students will be dismissed and busses run at 12:30pm.


No School - Thursday and Friday There is No School on Thursday and Friday due to teacher convention and NDCEL conference. School will resume on Monday, October 22nd at normal time. Thank you.


School Board Meeting - Wednesday The next regularly scheduled school board meeting is Wednesday at 6:00pm in the ITV room.


Artist-in-Residence An artist-in-residence will be at Elgin/New Leipzig School for grades K-12 on October 29th - November 2nd. The skill being focused on is painting. Stay tuned for further details. Thank you.
